The Northwest has always been a prolific hotbed for producing an abundance of artists, often with few limits to their output. With much distance surrounding the immediate area, almost completely enclosed in mountain passes, followed by miles of deserts and plains and valleys, it definitely speaks influence to the art. It's a region enclosed, and you can attest it to the mixing of ideas and influences, but you could attribute it to sheer boredom. Nevertheless, this definitely plays its part in the quality of the works of music that the world gets to experience as a result. It clearly becomes enhanced when you get three particularly experienced musicians together with a very dialed in vision, you get the punk rock force that is Wasted Breath.

Formed in 2016, three friends with a mutual love interest in punk rock set to embrace the punk ethos and energy without being placed too firmly within the boxes that burden sub-genres in most types of music. Vocalist and guitarist Kyle Butler has set out to blend the genres of music he has grown up listening to, and it shows in the formulation. Bonded together with Dusty O'Brien; a drummer with a jazz background who has been playing and touring in various punk rock and metal bands for over 20 years, and bassist Nick King, an ex-busker who brings a pseudo-drifter style to round out the melodies and rhythms to set the mood of the composition.

With a previous live album released back in 2017, the band has certainly paid their dues, earning the support and friendship of many of their co-horts in the punk rock community, most notably the legendary D.O.A., among others. There are no signs of slowing down from there, as the momentum is stronger than ever, and it will be easily noticed with what the future holds. Strap in, tune in, and enjoy the ride.
